We're settled into home! Going back for our first check up today at the Hospital. Working on eating more with our restrictions on fat intake. Pray for no plural effusions and that his appetite would return. Part of me thinks this is a reaction to him feeling so out of control during the hospital that now he can control food intake. We are not making a battle out of it. Allowing him to regain confidence and control in his life. He experienced a traumatic stress and now we work to heal. The picture is of his 2 birthday in China with his foster grandparents. It is the start of the third year, hence the 3. So sweet they captured these memories for us.

Words have an incredible ability to lift, crush, support, hurt, love or heal the heart.  Today, as we went to church, love was delivered in an unusual healing manner.   And in the midst of picking up my children from their class, a sweet Chinese woman began admiring my adopted children after recognizing their shared heritage..... tears began to seep down her face.  She hugged me and thanked me dearly for loving them.   I could feel her soul was so touched by our children as she gazed deeply at them playing.   Adoption,  begins with brokenness and pain  ........becomes redeemed because of a great love.  Not our love.....Christ's LOVE.  We are weak and humbled as we raise children.   My only response was that this is what God calls us to and we simply love them.    Her gracious heart and deep gratitude for adoption warmed my soul for adoption should be a natural part of our family as God adopted us into His....

Formal adoption & Orphanage Visit

 We are some what of a tourist attraction to the locals here so we have learned to just go with it and call it our celebrity status.  I don't think it's our good looks-but purely the combination of children, hair and eye colors that have people really confused and guessing!  If we stay in one place for too long we have a a group of people surrounding us and taking pictures, so we have taken to taking pictures of them now too!  It gets most people smiling and everyone having a good time.  On a serious note- it's sad that people can not even imagine how our family could all possibly go together. We feel as natural as ever- God given and created with love.  Today when we left the orphanage and the nannies told our guide our family has so much love within it, and yes we do.  Only because we live for a God that loves us so much that we can live our lives serving him in obedience.  That's why we feel so loved! GOTCHA DAY #1

                                 Filling out paperwork this morning.  Been there, done that!  Kids wondering when this part was going to be over with and we could get onto the good part?  Their brother!!!  Outside the civil building.....a little remembering of our special time with our sweet Chinese princess.  We prayed together as a family for our son/brother.  Our best day, was his worst day and best day rolled into one.                                              Took one last family picture of six.                                          A little pre-jitter excitement and silliness  Miss beauty here continues to receive compliments wherever she go...
